More InformationRehabilitate the soil rather than replace it
The DMS soil tiller loosens, mixes and screens the soil in a single operation – using the excavator that’s already on site. For excavators weighing between 1.5 and 10 tonnes.

More InformationDoes this sound familiar?
When the ground needs to be prepared for further work, traditional solutions often lead to unnecessary detours. Additional machinery, the transport of materials and dependencies in the planning process increase the workload on site.
- Delivering topsoil: The turf must be removed and new topsoil delivered – this involves additional work and costs.
- Transporting single-axle trailers: The single-axle trailer must be loaded, transported and then manoeuvred by hand across the site.
- Waiting for hire equipment: The required hire equipment is currently unavailable – and the construction schedule is suddenly dictated by the machine.
A new approach to soil cultivation
Benefits at a glance
- Robust shaft bearing: Withstands high excavator forces.
- Additional front flap: Keeps the material inside the router..
- Six depth settings: allow for quick adjustment.
- Round runners: Prevent the skates from digging in when skating backwards.
HOW IT WORKS: REVERSIBLE TILLER IN THREE STEPS
Step 1: Take a photo of the floor
The milling drum operates in the opposite direction to the direction of travel, picks up the existing soil and conveys the material directly via the milling shaft.
Step 2: Cut the material
The collected material is flung against the screen. Stones, roots and topsoil are separated from the fine soil.
Step 3: Prepare the seedbed
Coarse material is worked deep into the soil, whilst the fine soil is left on top. This immediately creates an even, fine-crumbly surface.
A small addition, a big impact
- Levels the milled surface
- Quick to fit and remove
- Saves on rework and time
- Tends to settle slightly
BENEFITS THAT BECOME APPARENT IN PRACTICE
Soil cultivation is carried out conveniently from the driver’s seat. This allows the operator to maintain a safe distance from the tiller and to work safely even on slopes.
The existing turf is worked directly into the soil. This eliminates the need for disposal and the transport of materials, and reduces the number of additional steps involved.
The support legs transfer any forces generated directly into the ground. This allows the milling machine to be guided in a controlled manner using the excavator and makes it easy to operate.
If a foreign object blocks the cutter, the hydraulic drive protects the cutter shaft. Simply lift the cutter, let it rotate backwards and carry on working.
The existing excavator carries out the ground preparation work directly on site. This means that no additional specialist equipment is required for the work on the building site.
Save costs whilst operating at full capacity
The sweeping roller allows surfaces to be cleaned efficiently – directly using the excavator and without the need for additional attachments.
Thanks to the practical screw-in connection, the tools can be changed in a matter of minutes. This saves time and increases utilisation.
The weed brush removes unwanted vegetation from paved surfaces and extends the excavator’s range of applications.
- Weed removal: The weed brush removes unwanted vegetation from paved surfaces and expands the excavator’s range of applications.
- Sweeping surfaces: The sweeping roller allows surfaces to be cleaned efficiently – directly using the excavator and without the need for additional attachments.
- Save time with quick-change tools: thanks to the handy screw-in connection, tools can be changed in just a few minutes. This saves time and increases utilisation.

Frequently Asked Questions
No. The hydraulic direct drive does not require a drain line. To operate, the excavator simply needs a suitable auxiliary hydraulic circuit for hydraulic attachments.
Smaller stones are worked into the ground more deeply during reverse milling. If a larger foreign object blocks the milling machine, the hydraulic drive stops. The enclosed housing helps to ensure controlled material flow.
The adjustable levelling feet transfer any forces that arise back into the ground, so that the excavator arm is primarily responsible for guiding the cutter. The machine is easily operated from the cab – even when working on embankments.
The reverse tilling principle tills and screens the soil at the same time. Topsoil, roots and coarser material are worked deeper into the soil, whilst finer soil is deposited on the surface. The optional mesh roller further levels and compacts the area.
Yes. In addition to the milling shaft, the quick-change system allows for the optional fitting of sweeping rollers and weed brushes. This means the excavator can be used for a variety of tasks.
Soil preparation is carried out directly using the existing excavator. This can reduce the need for additional machinery, transport and hire costs, whilst at the same time increasing the utilisation rate of the existing fleet of machinery.
